Taslema Sultana is the owner of Haystack Lodgings; she co-owns the hotels she manages. She has a deep love for the ocean, and loves to get lost in a good book. She enjoys decorating and designing the hotels, introducing new technology to the properties and is always trying to keep one step ahead of innovative marketing ideas. She lives in Portland with her husband and three daughters

Seaside: The Cove to watch the waves, sea gulls and the surfers. Do some tax free shopping, especially shopping for handcrafted items like jewelry from local shops on Broadway St.
Cannon Beach: Visit the beach steps from the hotel and watch the wind on the beach grasses and just enjoy the beauty of the ocean.
Restaurant Recommendation: Driftwood restaurant in Cannon Beach for the clam chowder and Finn's in Seaside for the salmon.
